Hello!
ION Clay Creations came about in late February 2014. My goal was to create sculptures of the pets we love and help animal rescues in the process. I started sculpting on my kitchen table and eventually converted a spare bedroom in my home to a studio. Sculpting and animals are my passions and I feel so fortunate to be able to do both.
A little about me. My name is Jyl and I am 33 years old. I live in northern Kentucky with my husband, Jeff, and our daughter, Maggie. I've had a passion for animals since childhood and started riding horses when I was 3 year old. I started rescuing dogs in my late teens and love all animals.
The name ION comes from three of my beloved rescues, "my boys". Indy, a 20 year old Saddlebred gelding, Oakley, a 5 year old deaf Australian Shepherd and Nanook, a 5 year old Australian Shepherd mix.
